Dear Fellow Suri
Network Members,
As many of you know, I teach neonatal classes to
teach breeders and veterinarians about birthing
and reproductive emergencies. These classes
include both classroom lecture and a hand's on
laboratory. In order to teach the hand's on
laboratory properly, it requires the use of crias that have died from natural cause or
during a delivery. Many breeders have donated crias in the past for these classes and by doing so, have saved many lives. After every course, I
receive e-mails and calls thanking me for
teaching the course as another cria had been
saved from the knowledge gained. I am constantly
in need of deceased crias for the lab sessions
and have asked the Suri Network Office to assist
me in reaching all of you by sending this
e-mail. I know how difficult it is to lose a cria and this is one way to assist breeders in
the industry in a very special way. As a fellow
alpaca breeder, I know the heartache that
accompanies this loss and I thank you for your
understanding and willingness to assist me.
Please contact me for further instructions.
Sincerely,
Toni Cotton DVM
